Youngsta — RINSE.FM 12–17-09
Youngsta is a long time hero of the dub­step scene, known for moody sparse tracks and impec­ca­ble mix­ing. Typ­i­cally his sets for Rinse.fm are down with an MC, but one day in Decem­ber he did a com­pletely solo set for 2 hours filled to the brim with absolutely crush­ing dub­step beats. Prob­a­bly my favorite col­lec­tive of pure dub­step to come out lately.

A long time ago, Buddy did a pod­cast for Rhythm Incur­sions called Obit­u­ary Med­i­cine which was eas­ily the best thing I’d heard by him to that date. Mix­ing hip-hop and indie rock together, it was the pre­cur­sor to his Wold Diesel Moun­tain release. Here we have a new install­ment along the same line as that orig­i­nal mix.
